Mace (Myristica fragrans), from the family Myristicaceae, is the delicate, lacy covering that encases the nutmeg seed. Both mace and nutmeg share a warm, earthy, and aromatic flavor, but mace is slightly stronger and sweeter, making it ideal for custard desserts, baked goods, and savory dishes.
Freshly ground mace enhances cinnamon–brown sugar blends, carrot cake, quick breads, pie fillings, creamy pasta sauces, and even cocktails like the Old Fashioned.
Our Ceylon Mace, sourced from Sri Lanka, is grown on our own plantation and by smallholder farmers in forest gardens—completely free from agrochemicals and produced using eco-friendly methods. This ensures freshness, purity, and exceptional quality at an affordable price.
Renowned for its high volatile oil content, Sri Lankan mace stands out for its distinct aroma and superior flavor, adding remarkable depth to both sweet and savory recipes.
